Hi all
First off thanks for everyones imput its a great group.
I was just wondering what was involved with updating the front brakes of my VN wagon to a set of V8 brakes.
that is do I need the disks (What SIze are they ?)
calipers ? whats size are the brake pads ?
Do the V8 ones fit on the V6 disks and so on ?
Anyone done this let me know.
Im looking at bidding on a set but dont know what Im looking for.
Cheers
David :)

For the V8 brakes should be finned and non of the v6 brakes are compatible.
You go to an automotive shop and tell them you have VN V8 finned calipers and they would know what you are talking about.

Hi
I suppose I didnt make myself very clear.
I have Standard brakes on my VN wagon and want to change over to
the larger V8 Disks and Calipers.
is there anything else involved with the change over IE: the booster and lines ? when I change to the finned calipers, brake pads and the Disks.
I looked in my manual I bought and I can find nothing about the disk sizes or the caliper spec. Does anyone have any info on the sizes of these items please ?
Cheers
David

First of all you need 15 inch wheels. Calipers will not clear the standard 14 inch rims. Otherwise just fit new rotors and calipers and thats it. 1 inch master cylinder is optional.

Just change the calipers and disc you would not need to change the master cyclinder. The V8 disc size are 289mm rotor.

Do you think $90 is a good price for a set of calipers ?
