Does anyone know how to reset the service reminder on an 08 sv6
Let me google that for you
Hold down only the up & down arrow buttons (below the mode button) of the trip computer.
Turn the ignition to ON
After about 3 seconds the service reading will appear
Release the up & down arrows
You'll hear a beep
Hold the up & down arrows again & it should reset
Turn the ignition off.
No more service warning
(that's off memory so hope it's accurate- but it is in the standard manual that comes with the car).
hope that works cause mine will be screaming at me soon even though it got serviced last week
That sounds like the procedure for the VZ's. I haven't had to do the VE service reset yet but from memory (car isn't at home at the moment) there are no up and down arrows on the VE to hold down as you suggest.
Doing a search for the answer for the VE seems to come up with this;
Hold trip button whilst turning ignition on. Release trip then press and hold enter for atleast 3 seconds.
hold trip button while turning ignition on. Release trip - press and hold enter at least 3 seconds. Job done.
Or you could click my link, and then learn to search before posting up a topic that has been done over and over..
The guys only done 2 posts so give him some slack iam sure we were all like this at the start
Just tried the procedure on my WM Stato (hold trip button while turning ignition on. Release trip - press and hold enter at least 3 seconds.)
and it worked, excellent job.:lock:
Thanks, I googled how to reset service indicator on VE, got this thread, read thread, did as advised on my WM, voila, reset good
The glove box manual states that you have to take your car to holden
And if you want diagnostic mode press and hold enter while turning ignition on
Not that I don't know or anything...
But this also applies to SSV's too....?
Yes, it most certainly does.
Worked for me:
Press and hold the trip button on the steering wheel.
Turn the ignition to ON.
Release trip button.
Press and hold the ‘Enter’ Button until a confirmation beep is heard.
Turn the ignition to OFF.
I've done the service quite early on my car, does this step reset the interval now. It doesn't seem to give me any signs it has reset
Reset procedure only works when the reminder is on the dash. So once it comes within the parameters for service, you will have to reset it.
Bit of a silly system, thanks anyway
