Hi, I've just bought my first brand new car at age 57 and I've fitted a tracking device from Jaycar. Works great but I want to also use it to immobilize the car via text message. I thought I could do this by cutting the power to the fuel pump but I don't want to do anything that will void warranty or cause some issue with the electronics controlling the motor. I've installed the unit in the boot so I'd prefer to splice a relay in that area of the car, rather than running wires up to the front if poss. Any suggestions gratefully accepted, Thanks

Hi. You will find the fuel pump feed wire coming out of the front edge of the fuse box in the boot. you can check what wire it is with a test light and with the engine running pull the fuel pump fuse. Cheers MD
