I don't know if you have bought this or another car yet, but if it was me I'd snatch it up real quick.. I payed $1500 for my VG the middle of last year, with roughly the same amount of km's, column shift auto, but in nowhere near the condition of the one in your pic.. I have since replaced the engine, gearbox and a handfull of other parts, but I still think I got a fairly good buy, as these utes are getting difficult to find..
Ps: the engine and box didn't need to be replaced, but I had the opportunity to buy an engine and box with very, very low km's for a good price, and thought why not..

Hope this helps you, or anyone else who might stumble across this thread.. VG's are great utes, I've owned a VS series 3 and a VU SS, but I still think the VG is the better of the 3 utes, just my 2 cents..

Sounds a good price. I had column shift on my old VR sedan and it was so good having the extra cabin room without the console there. They're a good p plater car, not too slow, not too powerful and pretty easy to work on and get parts for.

monkey is right, definately a good price, and the column shift is excellent if it works properly, and the old buicks are very easy to work on. I think I've spent around $4k on mine (including cost of the ute) and I honestly think I will get my money back when I decide to sell.. Don't let a ute like this pass you buy! especially for that price.

Well my mate said its only worth getting it for about $1000, cause he said it costs about $800 to $1000 to get it repaired, or it be cheaper to put a new motor in.

I don't if its worth getting no more but! -.-

$2800 is a fair bit for an unrego'd VS, definately too much if it needs work.. I often spot them for around 3-3500 in good nick with plenty of rego..
