simples.....
run cable thru bracket on the manifold (see pic)

but you only need ONE return spring for a streeter (TWO on race cars)

..just clip the factory cable end onto the ball on the throttle lever on the Quaddie (other end is same as 6cyl with the pedal)
adjust it as per the factory manual. NB : Factory V8 cables are longer than 6 cyl ones.

Think they have same bracket as kingswood that bolts to intake manifold near thermostat housing.

Been too long but expect v8 cable will be longer but should be able to find that info easily enough.

Yes, V8 throttle cables are longer than the 6 cyl ones

Also you need to change the actual accelerator pedal to a V8 one (or change the pivot point on your 6 cyl one). You won’t achieve full throttle as there is not enough travel on the cable with the 6 cyl pedal.

This is how I did mine: The black plastic GM mount needs to turn 180 deg’s (out of the floor), cut the mounting lug off the pedal and shift it down down & reweld it so you achieve more throw. I wasn’t getting 100% throttle for years! The black arrow shows the approx previous position.

I've gone the opposite direction...V8 cable with a 6 cyl pedal on my 6 as the 6 cyl cable wasn't allowing full throttle when I had a red 6 with a long runner cain manifold

Still have the 8 cyl cable running the blue now

Dont think I have ever changed accelerator pedal but most were efi 304 conversions.

On vh sle with harrop single plane & carby did need to bend pedal so it would get full throttle which I thought was weird

that cracks me up first thing a young petrol head does is check its getting full throttle then drives it at full throttle. How many old blokes can say how fast their car actully goes?
