VN Berlina start issue

Missus owns a 1990 VN Berlina since new but 6 mths ago it did a fuel pump and since then (maybe not related) it has starting issues just won't start on first try but always on second try how annoying any suggestions :bop:

check dipstick to see if it smells like fuel...if it does it means injector leakdown - new injectors or get recon'd ones

may sound silly but my brother was dumb enough to do it!
check that the pump is up the right way ei. metal line facing up and toward drivers side a little.

good luck (his had trouble starting when low on fuel)
