Mini spool for $90 is the go as wraith said. Even good welds on an open centre diff can die at the worst of times, especially in a burnout car. Minispool and some semi decent Castrol oil or something will keep you out of trouble.

And get a diff gears out of an r31...... preferably 4.11's but 3.9's will also do an awesome job
