Jafo and Mike reminded me of this diagram I did for Darren a few months ago. I thought I'd post this for anyone new to Commodores/Engines. I was going to do one for each model a few months ago but never got around to it due to a lack of decent resolution engine pics. It's a tad large but it is a GIF and should load quickly for dial up users.

While we're here, If anyone has a nice clean engine bay and is handy with a digital camera, pass on some images and we'll get a matching collection happening

    Cheers

    Jake.

I knew that, still editing the post. You guys are just too fast or I'm too unprepared. The Strut and tower to the right kinda give it away :p

Isn't that a VP or a VN look at thermostat housing its different on the VR's cause of the ABS is in the way and the housing points towards the Fan Shoud

see picture, BTW feel free to use for one of these engine thingys too
    Engine Bay

It's still a VR, just no ABS or Cruise check out the strut towers ;)

BTW- try to resize photos for web viewing, it cuts down on file sizes and doesn't make the thread scroll horizontally. On a more positive note that's a neat original bay for an old Calais, looks like the previous owner/s respected it.

if you want a pic of a 92 vp engine bay just ask.
    have your choice
std with cai and cruise control and the other is a factory gas with extractors.
only a month or 2 difference.
