Had them on my Mk2 ........ how cool ........ until I discovered that 6.5 inch rims were cooler than 4.5 inch rims ,,,, then they were bin jobs.

Don't do it. They look stupid. Personal opinion.
I had a VN with FE2 suspension. Could not fit my finger between the tyre (stock rims) and the guard lip.

I had BMW ultra low springs in an VP Calais (spot weld metal support with 3 bolts) and had no clearance issues with 245 M&H tyres on a 8” rim. Also test fitted 20x8.5 with a 245 and no issues.
