Hey all, newbie here. Dave's the name. Just wondering, seeing as a lot of people in the know here, my brother-in-law has a vn commodore and the coil pack has developed a large bulge around the lower third of the pack, I'm guessing this is why the motor stopped. The damn thing wont start, it died as he was on his way to work.
Question is, what would cause the coil pack to explode like that?
Hope you great guys could lend me some pointers. Pete seems to think it may have been the crank angle sensor that caused it??? I wouldnt think so, but... Help if ya can.

Thanks in advance.. Dave.
