Vr statesman power steering

Hey guys, down to the last part to get my statesman back on the road (power steering high pressure line) but I haven’t been able to find one yet that fits, what damage will I do if I drive it without power steering fluid as long as I leave the pump belt off. I’ve heard it will be fine but I’ve also heard I’ll root the steering rack. Also if anyone happens to have the part number for the v6 hose would be appreciated as I think someone put one in it before I bought the car
