Hey fellas, got a really annoying problem of my car stalling. It’s a vs Calais l67 and sometime at lights when I take off it was drive then just turn off. I’ve changed the iac and tps and still nothing. If I disconnect the battery for 10 minutes it’ll drive pretty happy but then go back into its same old routine. I need help bad with this because I’m about to throw the car in the bin

That doesn't sound like a stall if it dies instantly.

I had a similar problem years ago in our old VS but it happened randomly when driving and normally when hitting a bump. Took me ages to find it but eventually we found the wiring loom going from the battery to the alternator was touching the PS pump pulley and had worn through the plastic tubing and insulation and when it hit a bump the positive cable was shorting out on the pulley and killing the PCM/engine. Sometimes it would just cut out for a moment, other times completely dead.

It actually takes a lot to just kill a engine, even with low fuel pressure it will cough and splutter a bit before it dies unless you have your foot in it and using a lot of fuel etc.

Have you checked for fault codes?

measure your fuel trims when it starts acting up
disconnecting battery resets your fuel trims

Okay I’ll have to try get a obd1 scan tool then, I have given the throttle body a full clean yet I didn’t think that would of been a issue
