The only thing left it to attach your electronics, if you have any.

4way elec seats are a simple +/- setup. 8ways need a BCM which i dont know how to setup. With the 4ways, just wire up the seat with + to acc circuit and negative to earth. Use a relay.








And thats how you fit VT/VX seats into a VN, VP, VR, or VS commodore.

FAQ:​

The metal strapping split, what am i doing wrong?

ANS: The metal isnt hot enough when bending, heat more.

There isnt any holes on my VN for the centre rear seat, what do i do?

ANS: You need to make some, VNs had a single rear back rest. Use a drill and self tapping large screws to affix it.

Is this a legal modification?

ANS: No, i dont reccomend you attempt it either, i have since removed mine due to legalities :whistling

Why use 5mm Steel?

ANS: You need somehting which will withstand alot of weight, its for safety mainly. I would want somehting that wouldnt break in an accident, if i had them in my car... which i dont....:whistling

That's a really good set of instructions mate, i was under the impression that only vn-p-r-s seat will fit, and there was no possible way of retro fitting vt-x seats into vn's. And to have the electrics working is insane, that thread just made my day!
Next mod: VT-X electric seats :yeah:

if you mount the front seats using the vr/vs rails this would be legal i think as you are using the factory mounts
i'll look into it further as i almost bought a set of vx seats for my wagon on the weekend and would rather it be legal.
does anyone know if a vt/vx rear wagon seat will fit a vr/vs wagon?

Better method than re-using the ring curls

Instead of re-using the rings when swapping the frames over use long cable ties as this is a less punishing method and no blisters :thumbsup:

ok vt/vx seats would look awesome in my vs but wat about vy seats they are blakc and look heaps better as the vt has same floor pan as vy cant imagine it being too much different ill make it fit anyway should be doing it soon shall let you know how it goes

Cool. Are they Exec seats? Black seats would suit me too!
