If your after a sub to fit try looking at the Polk audio mm1040

I have one in my ute cos I too am not keen on the slimline subs, the polks are a full depth sub however maximum depth is only about 11cm

Thumps plenty hard in the little cabin aswell

EDIT: I'm not sure where werribee is but if it's near Sydney you should go town to fhrx studios in caringbah to demo some setups, I bought part of my setup there and Marty is a great bloke and really helpful

that would fit in my enclosure your giving me some hope mate, how are these subs? loud? and can the hit deep, low notes?

Yeah mines running 350rms and it's behind my seat in a custom enclosure, have a look at my ride thread and you can see the enclosure I bought out of the ute

I listen to everything from dubstep to rnb to hard rock and this sub plays all them really well, it goes loud enough to hurt my ears and shakes everything enough without making any rattles

However I'm trying to aim more for SQ than SPL in my ute

awesome man, im looking at them right now, ive found that the 12" will also fit and give me a few more RMS, did you buy yours online?

Yeah I considered the 12" but for my setup I didn't have enough power without adding another amp and I didn't want two amps in my ute

Sort of I bought mine from Marty and fhrx studios, the place I mentioned previously

Also bought my speakers off him, morel maximo 6 splits

the 12" requires 1.3cu/ft and i only have 0.96 what do you think?

could you recommend 1 amp that would power this sub alone? and ill get a second one for my speakers?
