Hey guys, after nearly 4 years of having a Vy V6 i've finally upgraded to a Vz Calais V8. After looking for awhile at some vy ss and vz ss i finally saw this.
Previous owner was an elderly guy from Victoria and its only got 99000 kms on it. Its basically stock, which is good. i purchased it last week from peter page holden, it had to go over the pits to register it in SA.

    Model: Vz Calais V8
    Year: 2005
    Kms: 99000
    Colour: Odyssey Grey
Suspension: King Superlows with monroe shortened shocks
Interior: Cream Leather, Black headlining, climate control
Stereo: Kenwood DPX-5000BT Headunit, Kenwood KFC-E1665 Speakers
    Wheels: 19 x 8.5 Simmons 245/35/19
Exhaust: 1 3/4 X-Force 4-1 long headers, 100 cell hi flow cats 3 inch, X-Force 2.5 catback with centre muffler removed
Other Mods: 25% Tint, Statesman indicators

Looks good man. I have a v6 one in the same colour. The suspension looks to be standard. If you were to lower it I wouldn't go any lower than SL as it will become impractical for everyday use. Also what do you think of the standard sound system? I think its fairly good for a 10 year old car.

I was planning on putting in some king SL's, plenty low enough for everyday use. There's a little bit of a rattle from the parcel subs.

The paint is immaculate and especially the interior, credit to the old fella for looking after it so well.

I totally agree, my 19" really set off my ute now. I'm painting mine this week. I still recommend going through the wheeldemon site & check out the rims available.

Sweet pickup mate, the odyssey paint is starting to get a bigger following :)

Got the VZ Clubby rims on my Calais --> check them out http://forums.justcommodores.com.au/vy-vz-wk-wl-v2/187648-v-z-c.html

is it deff a rattle from the rear subs in the parcel tray? they could be buggered, if they are and wanting to keep the same setup grab some free to air 8in subs off the net - also you can turn up the bass in the boot on the left above the Jack 4 screws pull it out and turn the screw clockwise - much better

Your suspension is standard, get it lowered asap looks wayy better,

    goodluck with it all

Cheers man, your car looks amazing with those rims :)
I think the whole system is buggered the speakers are not loud at all and not very clear.
Will be getting rims and lowering it hopefully within a couple of weeks
