VZ V6 2005 Adventra possible voltage issues

Hey guys been having battery charge issues with the battery loosing its charge every 3-4 days, went to super cheap about the battery cause its less then 6 months old they said it's fine but it could be that it's getting to much voltage, did a test with a multimeter and idle it's putting out 16.4 volts and with a little searching here it seems that it should be 13.9 but would like a second opinion before I go any further.

Any ideas and solutions would be appreciated thanks.

Thanks mate we suspected as much, talked to the sparky last night and he said to just get a brand new one so its less hassle in the future, thanks for the quick fast response.
