Won't be that day.

I reckon 31/10/17...correlates nicely with "scary" stuff..

Same day as Ford stopped.

I'll pick a November date. Friday 18.11.2017

For no other reason than I think they will continue to produce cars as long as they have engine stocks and I doubt that they will have accumulated more than around 15-16,000 V6's. Even that is an astonishing number of engines to have lying around but at approx 2000 cars per month, 30% of which are V8's, I'll stick with my prediction. Recent reports indicate that Alloytec stocks have been accumulated to meet anticipated (ie planned) production and that the engine plant will start to be dismantled soon.

But a more interesting prediction is who will be the last member of the general public to buy an Aussie Commodore from a dealer through normal means?

There will come a time in a bit over 12 months time that your local Holden dealer will have sold their last VF commodore.

Ford stopped production a few weeks ago, and according to carsales there are 281 'brand new' falcons left, and 126 demos. This stock will possibly last a month at best.

The last 1-2 Ford vehicles are being kept for posterity and will never be registered; but during the day the last falcon to be sold to a retail buyer would have been made.

I think it'll coincide with Bathurst , that would be a fitting end of run for Holden in Australia

I'm not so sure they would pick that date
It's the same as Ford this year for one thing and, if Holden lost the race the next day it would be the ultimate humiliation following closure of the factory.
