Drove it to work
Driving it home in about 2 hrs
Refirbed headlights, clubby rear bumper, resprayed in factory colours.
The headlights got stripped back and recleared in 2k hs clear upol.
And tidied up a few bits and pieces.
It's my mates car.
started the process of redoing the rooflining again.
using the better/proper stuff with more curing time, which is so far turning out quite well. and sticks like superglue.
ran out of the stuff in the process so when it comes to the fabric part, there will be atleast 2 cans of the permatex stuff.
And also washing them, looking much better.
Cleaned the wheels
Got an insulting offer
Hahaha reminded me of this I had a while back. My response still makes me chuckle. After working in retail I love a blunt response.
New windscreen wiper rubbers yesterday
I built a lightweight, removeable shelf for the wagon out of the aluminium connect-it stuff from Bunnings
Picked my Crewy up from having an exterior respray. Just have to wait for the roof trim to be done and look into what a "flow coat" is(quoted $750 to have it done).
Just had the SS-V in for her 45k service.
Brought some original slimline monsoons to fit up this afternoon.
Monsoons all fitted up.
Been raining in Brisbane.
So gave her a bath and dry
Washed the bugs off the windscreen and tightened the a/c compressor belt
took it to the diff place to have it checked out, will need to book it back in at a later date.
and also took the drivers door apart because the window didn't want to wind up straight. turns out one of those white clips in the slides busted.
so a fix of some 406 Loctite has currently solved it with some more of those clips being ordered for if it fails again.
Done the serpintine belt on the vs and lubed up the self tensioner spring. My early morning death rattle is now gone. Also cleared the windscreen jets and banged the air filter clean.
Just purchased a pair of 2014 VF SSV bi-modal mufflers for $50 off trademe.
New diff care of MDR in Dandenong then round the corner for a pair of high flow cats.
