Congrats m8, must be a bit of a head rush winning at a show
Thanks.

Was registered in the wrong class to start with. Lucky some officials spotted it and got me moved to the right group. I was in with the 3rd gens because they went by year (1997) and considered me a VT

I think I see how the group a from 5yrs ago happened…….

That's what I thought.
I won't mention the manufacturer's name as am still waiting for a response to my email regarding what guarantee (if any) exists.

I had it installed by a local mechanical workshop because I didn't want to be rolling around in the dirt under a car on stands.
Turns out I had to do it anyway as the car shat itself on the dirt and at a hell of an angle.

Got a different brand of starterer from Repco for $160...cheaper than supercheap, autopro and autobarn.
Now to deal with the aches and pains lol

That looks like it would be excessive transmission cooling for a road-use transmission, even if you doing a lot of towing. Does it incorporate a thermostat to make sure the transmission fluid doesn't get too cool.

I think the photo makes it look bigger than it really is.

From the chats I had a with a transmission specialist, the VR/VS 4l60e's tend to run quite hot. Apparently the later models (VT onward) have larger diameter cooling lines for improved flow and better cooling.

What is too cool for an automatic transmission? Heat is the number 1 enemy of the automatic transmission.
