Commodore as we know it is a dying breed...
I will be in the market for new family sedan shortly. I hate suv and 4wd.
Don't know what to plan for...
I never owned anything but commodores..
I assume something rwd with at least v6 in it..and under $50 000
Any ideas ?

.. you have until July next year to order a new Commodore (with a 3 month build time)

after that? no more Commodores :(

Yeah. Strange question with eighteen months of Commodore production still to go. Buy a good late model or new one this year and you wouldn't expect to have to worry about its replacement for three to five years at least.

Well now you look like a bloody dill. You've been a member of this forum for years and you come on asking for advice about what to buy after telling us you've only owned Commodores up to now. What exactly did you expect to be told after saying it needed to be RWD and V6 powered under 50k - buy a used 300C? If Commodores have been such a disappointment, why have you stuck with them?

My family car is a VW Passat Alltrack. German built wagon with plenty of room for the family plus it's diesel and all wheel drive and under $50K

Had it for 3 years and still feels as solid as day one.

You say they are unreliable **** boxes , yet say you've had s few , mmmm, maybe a few too many :drink: , but have a look at a second hand Lexus or something , some came in V8 and a 6 , they go ok too . As rear wheel drive is s must have your other choice might be something big and German .
