Will a 2010 VE SS 6ltr auto trans fit in a 2007 VE SS auto ute?

I have a 2007 VE SS ute and my trans has started to make a funny noise when I shift it into DRIVE.

I have found a 2010 VE SS trans done 29,000 k's and want to know if this will fit into my 2007 SS ute - does anyone know?

I don't know if the trans it out of a sedan, station wagon or ute - would this make a difference to it fitting/not fitting?

if it wont fit under the car, it most definatley will fit in the back

I'm not aware of any major transmission differences from 07 to 10... Hopefully one of the more technical minded members will be able to 100% confirm for you.

On a side note, what sort of noise does it make that leads you to believe it's on the way out? I'm more interested for my future reference

Make sure the sicker on the side of the box matches yours (eg: 7VAC, 6VAC etc) and you will need to remove your TCM from your box and put it into the new one..

I got walkinshaw to put an 09 Calais box into my 06 SS not long ago..
