window wipers stopped working s2 vy calais

so ive got interesting one my window wipers have stopped working, when i turn the wipers on the headunit cuts out, i can still hear a relay clicking unsure on what could be the cause of this, weather wires have melted together an started touching or a relay is stuffed.
i need some help on this asap as ive got no clue anymore.

Disconnect the negative terminal.
Remove the wiper arms.
Remove the cowl.
Inspect the wiper motor
Inspect the harness plugs
Absolutely remove, the earth strap on the passenger side. Clean it. Maybe replace it.

Because the firewall is insulated from the body by adhesive, an earth strap is located on the passenger side that goes from the body to the area near the air intake for the HVAC.

Clean the earth surfaces.

You want it tip top. I don’t know why braided cable is used, I can’t see why a decent cable can’t be used in its place.
