WTF is in this engine?

Hi Guys,

Thought I would share this with everyone.

I bought a spare 304 block to build a stroker, it is a block from a 96 VS.

Upon checking it over when I got it home I found a little round casting? thing in there.

It looks like its been there for a while due to the side wear mark but I am curious to know if this has been dropped in from the square part with rough casting dags from the factory?

should have been cleaned out during the fettling process after casting

Really? Can't remember the clubbys being that bad. Guess it was.
