    TOTAL COMM SPARES

    THE BUSINESS

Started in 2002 by Robert Ammendola (1964-2008) in Moorabbin Victoria who was a close personal friend as well as a business associate, after his untimely passing I decided to purchase the existing business & tweak it a little to utilise my mechanical skills along with my reconditioning experience gained over 30 years in the automotive trade (the last 20 years reconditioning headlights/plastic welding/fusion & vehicle restoration).
Since taking over the business I’ve discovered many customers prefer to use us as a “one stop shop” whereby we can also fit the parts we sell including engines & transmissions!
I’ve also expanded our product range from VR-VE Commodore into Statesman VR-WM.
As those who’ve visited Total Comm Spares can testify, we like to do things a little differently from the average wrecking yard, most of our stock is stored undercover, all saleable parts are tested, removed, & cleaned prior to sale & come with a warranty & you won’t get your hands or shoes dirty because this place is clean & well organised!
We’re not just a Commodore/Statesman dismantler/wrecker our average days can consist of installing window regulators/switches, wiper motors, headlights/tail lights, door handles, engines/transmissions, head linings, seats, you name it we can install it, mostly done while you wait & as we are right next door to a café you can even grab some food &/or a coffee to make the downtime more enjoyable!

    THE PRESENT

At the beginning of 2011 my son Dylan started full time work with me whilst awaiting the start of his (mechanical) apprenticeship & has honed his mechanical abilities as well as customer service skills to the point where he’s become an invaluable team member so we are now quintessentially a father son team & we love it!
Dylan will be monitoring the JC forum & between both of us we’ll be more than happy to assist the members with everything from advice to price to bookings for repairs or installations, he may be young but he sure knows Commodores!

    THE FUTURE

Is all about focusing on customer service both local & interstate, expanding our workshop service & just trying
to do it better than the rest, there are plenty of wreckers you can use but in all my years of experience (dealing with many as a supplier) most tend to treat non trade customers as a nuisance or worse, “like idiots” with a "we know better" attitude leaving the customer (be they male or female young or old) with an experience they’re not keen to repeat any time soon!
At Total Comm Spares we invite discussion, interact with our customers & in most cases allow them to see what we’re doing to their vehicle while we’re doing it!

Sure do (depending on size) but we pack & post regularly, payment can be made via EFT & once funds are cleared item is sent.

do you accept paypal at all, more thinking along the lines of instant transfers, if Credit Cards is not available.

will there be any discounts available to JC members?

No Paypal (too slow & expensive IMO) EFT is usually quick & cheap, C/C only via eftpos, discounts on a member by member basis but I'm pretty flexible!

G'day guys, first off big thanks to Darren who has made our insertion as sponsors and members of this community extremely easy. I will be very active on the forums, if anyone has any questions regarding prices, install, postage etc then feel free to pm either myself or my Dad. PM'ing me will more than likely have a quicker response. I shall be updating our section on which cars we have and are wrecking. I shall also fulfill my duties as a member and will offer advice to anyone I can help, whether or not they post in our section.
