vy gearbox problem can anyone help

I have a vy v6 and last night is was fine and then today i went to drive it and the gear box would only go into 2nd an3rd and the check engine light come on as well its a auto .Can anyone help.

i'd suggest that you check the engine fault codes to see what the actual fault is
