Hey guys im having a bit of trouble tunning up my 253 any ideas?

i know timing could be out as i dont have a timing light and the carb will need tuning too....it has 2 screws on it at the bottom...

im pretty sure one screw is for idle mixture and the other screw is for under load mixture??

if its a standard carb theres not much u can do apart from checking float level, make sure accelarator pump works and adjust idle mixture screws! as for ignition timing without a light all u can do is start turning dizzy anticlockwise alittle bit at a time and c how its goes! it should start to idle a bit quicker as u turn it and feel abit more responsive as u crack the the throttle.if it starts to ping abit as u drive it up ahill or at full throttle just wind the dizzy back a bit until your happy. bit of trail and error without timing light.
