Need info for tuning,emulator and burner for delco memcals

Whats the best burner etc use and best progams,any help would be much appreciated,i got old and new lap top and want to tune my own cars and mates.
i heard efi live is used and pro tuner?what you guys using?
ive downloaded both programs already
efi live v4 and pro tuner rt.
looks like you can also use some sort of emulator that plugs into memcal port and tune live?

would these work good and what else do i need?
I want to tune vn,vp,vr,vs v8s.
I have a vn ss currently
and soon to have a vh sle with vs engine and ecu and i want
to do all my own tuning i just need some help/advise setting up.
