just wondering if there is such a thing as police mode for commodore's? if so what is it??

Its a myth, Highway cars are standard SS and Xr8's and now Xr6T's.

The only difference now is with the falcons, they option the Brembo brakes because the standard brakes weren cutting it so they told ford they wouldnt buy anymore form them until they got the brembo's at a good price, ford eventually came to the party.

Engine wise they do nothing.

You can also get Police mode thru TECH2 for the dashes on VY of commodores etc.
Such as Digital speedo and a few other bits and pieces.

It was also a myth that sort of started because the whole idea of buying an "Ex Chaser" seemed cool and it helped the resale value when the Police Force were onselling the cars.

Now thats why they use the coloured Highway Patrol cars, white cars are harder to sell in the S/H market so the cops started buying all the different coloured ones because they sell quicker and for more than white ones.
