    Default sourcing spare memcal

Not sure if this is the right section to post in...

I'll heading to the wreckers to get a spare memcal, as i'll need one with me to keep my car running while the other memcal is sent off for a tune.

Would it matter if i sent off the original memcal from my car, or the spare i pick up from the wreckers to be tuned?

Also, what sort of car would i need to get a spare memcal from? I have a Series 1 VR V6 so would it be as simple as finding an other S1 VR V6 or would i need to look for something exactly like my car, ie: must also be an executive sedan?

Won't matter. A memcal is just a memcal AFAIK. This is Holden were talking about why change to a new memcal when you can just put new programming on the old ones. In saying that you would probably be better off getting a VR one as there is so many around at the wreckers. Delco will be the man to shed some light on this subject no doubt.

you're gonna want a vr v6 memcal, series wont matter, but must be vr v6. (you could get a v8 one, but v6 will be easier to get anyway)
