My VN has been throwing up code 33: MAP sensor Signal Voltage too High.
Been a 2 MAP item for forced induction, are its testing properties the same as a N/A unit?
still puts out 0-5v just volts at key on engine not running out the sensor will be half of a 1bar.i have 2bar issues code 33 and 34 still havnt fixed it yet car dies when it stuffs out tried 3 map sensors 4 new plugs on the wireing
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong

33 can be caused by a TPS sensor as well

Quote from VN manual:
"Disconnect the MAP sensor and the ECM will substitute a value based on the throttle position"
May explain why the engine won't run with MAP plug disconnected. Will be checking TPS sensor and circuit.
code 33 can be set with big cams as the immensley low idle vacum can trick computer
code 33 is set if manifold vacum is below 70kpa longer than 5 seconds when the throttle is at less than 2 % opening (at idle)
can be caused by sensor failure signal short to voltage, too much vacum, too higher idle tooo name a few
Good post db_notso

Brought a new MAP sensor and replaced the TPS to try sort out the issue; code 33 is still intermitting![]()
