VS V6 Performance Chip

Hi,

I'm not thinking of getting one imediatly but in the future I would like to install a perfromance chip in my vs executive.

I was just wondering if there are any particular chips that are regarded as being the best?

If people could tell me what chip they have, how much it cost and would the recomend it. That would be great.

I tried an ebay one. I was after fuel economy. Tried it and it didnt do anything for my fuel so I returned it for a full refund. Seller didnt charge any postage so the only cost I incured for a 10+ week trial use was for posting it back to them. Just choose a seller that guarantees it and doesnt charge for postage.

I have VS v6 wagon.

I have a Dr Bob tune. Had it for about 2 months now. As far as performance goes my engine idles smoother, runs smoother has more throttle repsonse while on the move. Didnt notice to much extra performance from standing start.

Fuel economy was the biggest gain. Loaded up with tools and equipment for work on the open freeway i get 700km to the tank. In stop starting its avergare between 450-500km.
Towing a boat loaded with camp gear (about 500kG) and full car load (misses and kids) i got about 550km's.

All in all im very happy with the tune. It made the car much nicer to drive. DR Bob will make any sort of changes to you like. I had mine adjusted to suit my driving such as when the converter locks as i didnt like it locking so early.

If yo have done headers and CAI then i would say do a tune. But only tune if its your last mod for a while otherwise you will just have to re do it again after other mods.

You would be mad buying one from someone else. For every good tuner there are 100 bad tuners out there selling their crap on sites like ebay. I have never heard a bad thing about his tunes and I will be getting one myself after I have paid for all my uni stuff.
