ecotec belt tensioner

i have a vy v6 ute and when i start it up my belt tensioner rattles and jumps up and down? but still holds good tension when car has started does any1 hav any deas?

and also how do u get the pulley off the tensioner?

It's a reverse thread pulley. You actually need to turn it clockwise to remove it. ep004 is the part number you'll need. The issue might be related to either a failed tensioner or an engine idle issue.

car idles smooth just the very first bit when u turn the key sounds like there a hammer under the bonnet sumwhere then once car has started the noise goes away
