Turbo VS
I'm looking to do a cheap single turbo upgrade, but I need some advice. The car is my daily so I need a turbo that spools early, around 2000rpm, I'm not concerned with massive boost, probably 8 PSI max. A lot of people seem to recommend the GT35R. What are the options?

Being a manual and your spooling requirements, I'd suggest you find a GT35R with a .82 a/r turbine housing. It will give you the best of both worlds and you'll have plenty of airflow in reserve if you decide to get serious.
