Does anybody know if there is a thicker head gasket for the series 2 V6??
I want to decompress the motor for boost purposes.
Thanks and info would be great.

you wont get the decompression you are looking for with just a thicker head gasket.
96 VS ute, L36 Auto.
Pacies, 2" catback, 18" RJR Shaddows
No more V8'S, GT35 TO GO ON SOON
You can get shim gaskets thru ACL or have custom ones made at some engineering, metal and machine shops.
Better off not cheating and change the pistons, cheaper in the long run.
no need to lower comp its low allready shims and thick gaskets just cost power
I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable
Ok, well have been running 10psi for a few years now with a powerdyne blower and have recently had the blower rebuilt and will be running 14psi from 3000rmp through a bleed off valve that is plumbed into the intercooler piping. It was recommended that i decompress the standard motor to accommodate for the increased boost levels. In everyones opinion would a standard series 2 v6 with Mace high ratio rockers, be a reliable setup with mods mentioned above. And a tune of course???
All GO
with a proper tune a buick V6 will handle 14psi just fine
