    Default Exhaust questions

Is there a point in putting an exhaust on a 1996 vs commodore auto?

also can new headers/extractors be attached to the stock exhaust, and how will this sound?

    thanks

Depends on what you determine being a 'point', an exhaust on a stock Eco will barely add any power, or rephrase 'buy you back' power from the motor's natural stock output....it will help the exhaust flow out of the engine alot better, but gains are still minimal. More of a cosmetic/sound appeal thing, for P Platers lol.

Yes you can put headers on the stock exhaust. I have a 2.25" full system with Pacemaker Extractors, Stock Cat, Hi Flo Redback Muffler, no rear resi.

Not too loud, not too soft, doesn't drone at all.

I'd recommend that you get the crimped up pipes replaced with some mandrel bent bits - the crimpy bits surely can't be helping exhaust flow.
FYI Crimpy bits join the headers to the cat.
