from what i've heard there isnt much going in the way of turbo SIDI's... pretty sure you going into unchartered waters as far as turboing goes cause i havent seen a VE with a turbo anywhere

making manifolds should be easy as the v6 manifolds are incorporated in the head i think! so it'll just be a single pipe with a turbo flange on it!

I think that's only with the 3.0 litre sidis, the 3.6 litre's have standard manifolds I believe .

We can tune the SIDI's such that they're good enough for boost, if that helps

That would be awesome - IF you had an LSx series motor (that's a V8 kit)

What you should check is if the SIDI alloytecs have the exhaust ports spaced the same as the non-SIDI alloytecs - that way you might be able to find a kit for older VE's.

i read proflow were making a kit, nothing i could find for the v6 though

all i know is that it has convergent exhaust ports, but no idea if the spacings are the same as earlier models, i really have no clue as to where to find that info

Neither do I. I think you'll find the convergent exhaust ports are on the 3L SIDI not the 3.6.

That is an SIDI engine. I believe that is the 3ltr and the 3.6ltr has normal design exhaust manifolds not ones cast into the head. Still trying to find a pic of one though to confirm.

Thanks for the pic, any conformation on which motor it is 3 or 3.6L?

Also I have read alot of threads saying it's a waste of time doing it etc and it will hurt resale, I'm curious as to how forced induction will affect resale? Other than wear and tear?

SIDI 3L is in the pic above, 3.6 SIDI have headers just like the 195kw alloytec

Now Saving for a Harrop HTV2300 Supercharger kit!

Some might call it a waste of time, but I think a turbo'd 6 is where it's at honestly. It'll hurt your resale purely because it's not standard any more.
Bare in mind it's going to be an expensive trip for you, you're going into unchartered territory with the SIDI.
