ok. here it is. will the STD VR delco ecu run the engine without having the BCM attatched?

can it be explained what i have to do wether its yes or no please? like, if i can run it on its own, will a straight power source to the ecu be enough to get it to activate? ect...

please help! people are telling me that it needs to talk to the BCM before it will let the engine start.
