    Default shift kit fuel consumption?

    hi i have a vr and am thinking of getting a stage two shift kit and a corvette servo installed... will this effect my fuel economy?

    dude u probably spent more money going on the net and writing this comment.
    if u want a shiftkit its because u want a shiftkit and u shouldnt give a #### about fuel economy

    wrong!. i get decent economy atm, but i want to go a bit quicker without spending alot more dough every week, just wondering how much of a difference to the pocket it makes

    in theory it shouldn't make any difference and if you drive the car exactly like you do now it won't increase fuel usage but then most people tend to change the way they drive to make use of the mods they make and hence the fuel efficiency might drop a bit until you've had your play with your new mod.

    the shift kit will alter the shift speed between gears and the apply pressure on the band (no slippage), it doesn't alter the shift points

    i got a shift kit in mine and it dosent in the slightest effect any fuel economy i think....

    if you have the line pressure increased with a bigger boost valve it can use a little more but i doubt you would really notice it over a week of driving
    I tune the oldschool way fear on the passengers face and knuckle colour cant go wrong
    tabbacco is still my favorite vegetable

    This sentence makes no sence.
    To go faster, to make more power, to create torque - it all needs fuel. If you want these things you can't be worried about spending a bit more on fuel.
