Xp hot cam is based on stock heads. If your going to go all out with heads ect get the XP-Z or intense stage 3

What are the cam specifications that you are thinking about?

yeah im boring out the engine 30 thou oversize pistons and all new bearings allround im going to put a double row timing chain and up grade to a 10 or 12 pound pully and pacmaker extractors a sports exaust.. plus im sticking with the orignal rollers and leaving it a auto with a stage 2 kit in it, and im just leaving the heads as standered, im just after a nice street cruiser, not something over the top dangerous.
iv talked to a few mechanics and done some reserch on the clive cams, and supposbly he is very good at his job..

Clive cams does have a good rep. So does Comp cams which is the company that grinds the XP Hot cam from billet blanks.

XP hot cam is perfect for what you've described imo. I run one with worked heads and larger valves etc etc and it's a very impressive cam to say the least.

Only advantage that you may get from getting a clive custom grind is due to the fact that the car that the XP was designed for is a FWD lighter vehicle than what we have to deal with in the commodore platform here in Aus. Bees dick in it but if the money's good for you then you may have an interesting combo with a custom grind.
