Default engine change from vy to vs ecotec

hi guys, can anyone tell me if a vs engine minus the loom will go into a vy? My vy has dropped compression on cylinder 4. down to 60 psi. Will the vs fit for sure???

i think with engines... to keep it roadworthy/legal, you can't install an older engine (without an engineers cert)... so if your VY is stuffed... you need a VY or later engine...

Dont think its legal mate. The authorities dont like the whole old engine in new car thing.

There's a thread with a member changing a vx engine for a vs engine, has all the details in it, legalities and advice.

You know all you need to do there is change the Plenum and that's that problem sorted? Nothing really to bad about that. VS-VT have basically the same Inlet manifold ports, they changed them at the VX. Also the VS have the Temp Sender in the manifold, where as the VT onwards have them in the Airbox.
If it's not a Symptom its not relevant, and if its not relevant I don't care!
