    Default Tuning my ecotec!

Hey guys! excuse my dumbness i Have an ecotec vy 5spd! and was curious about getting her tuned but not too sure what results i would get or whether its worth it! The car is pretty stock just has:

    Pacemaker extractors and 2.5 exhaust
    70mm Throttle body
and one of those plenum spacers!

worth doing?? will it run much better?

    Cheers

Nah mate not really worth it. The ECU in these cars are very good at adapting to small mods like you listed. Though it would probably help with the shifts if you have noticed them a little out of whack due to he bigger TB.

Now with my very own Tech2....YAY.

I'd add a Mace CAI and 25mm lower manifold spacer. If the budget allows High ratio rockers or Cam + Custom tune & Diff gears (3.46 or 3.7:1).

Isn't the car manual? - a bored throttlebody should only effect fuel enrichment on a manual car.
ie Hesitation or Stubble as throttle is depressed .

I had a bored T/B on my VS auto with a custom Delcowizzid tune. It had good throttle response, but it made it pretty lazy - as it changed up too quickly.
Fine if your foot is mashed, but hardly the point for more throttle response.

I'll put it back on for the next tune. Aye Delco
