Hi all, I have put a turbo on my V6 and while I was at it I gave the engine a rebuild.
now the car started perfectly and idled smooth as silk, for a long time (appox 1/2 hr) then stopped suddenly. the engine turns over without any problem but just refuses to fire.
have checked:
fuel pressure
injectors are pulsing and squirting properly
all spark plugs have strong spark
have tried another computer
have tried another map sensor
took rocker covers off and all valves and rockers are moving as they should
have checked all wiring and plugs 100 times
have pulled heads off and had them checked and also checked cyl as well
have changed the coil pack
have changed the crank angle sensor
checked comp for any codes
changed main fuse
I have basically checked evrything I can think of, and am stumped as to what the problem could be - remember the car started and ran
any help would be greatly appreciated.
did you do a comp test before removing the heads ?
thanks for the reply, yes, comp is good on all cyl
have you tried spaying some start ya bastard or aerostart into it and see if it fires on this, if it does then you either are not getting the injector pulses to drive the injectors or you don't have any fuel pressure even though you have said that you have fuel and injector pulses I would still try the start ya bastard
thanks, i might try it![]()
