Default Piston movement side to side

Ok so i've had my modified ecotec running for 60,000k's so far. I had the block decked and im running 10:1 pistons. I pulled it down recently for a repair, and im wondering is it normal for there to be a mm or so of slop movement at top dead centre? At TDC the pistons actually protrude from the block about 15 thou.

The pistons do sit proud of the deck on the ecotecs, that's why they come with .063" head gaskets standard. Does sound like it has a little bit to much Piston to Bore clearance though
