    Default VP V6 rough idle

A mate has a VP V6 and for the last few months it's started up rough, idles rough, but drives ok, unless he takes his foot off the go pedal and it tries to stall.

I checked the error codes and the o2 sensor come up. So we reset it and went for a drive, and the o2 sensor doesn't come up, but the o2(rich) comes up. So I assume it isn't actually the o2 sensor, but something else which is making it run rich.

He's just replaced all the leads and plugs and gave it an oil change, which didn't help. It's on petrol and gas, and it does the same thing on both.

    Any ideas?

yeah i had the same problem with it trying to stall when chaning gears (manual)... changed both 02 sensors and problem fixed

was for a vy ecotec but i reckon your best of replacing o2 sensors first
