V6-v8 mod

not sure if this fits here but i figure its a mod of sorts

so i picked up a VT for 400 bucks, needs a bit of work (mainly cosmetic) but im happy and willing to do it as i love tinkering around and used to own a really nice vt all done up. now the engine in this current vt has done 300,000 and is very weak so im wanting to get rid of it. ive been toying with the idea of putting a v8 in it and have seen alot of posts regarding this.

basically, is it worth doing?
what are rough costs?
what will i need?

if its not going to be ridiculous il give it a go. all i have currently is the VT V6, thats all.

please some advice would be great!

When you get a vt v8 for 3 to 4k now days it's not even worth it
