i bought a vn t5 gearbox conversion for my 3.8 ltr ecotec vs commodore. i crawled under my car to start tearing it apart and before i cut the exhaust and shit i was just wondering if it would fit because the bottom of the automatic gearbox is slanted. i am just curious as to whether it is a plate bolted onto the engine or the vs ecotecs have a different style of bellhousing on the gearbox? any answers would be extremly helpful. cheers
gearbox bolts straight on, bellhousing is the same, y peace on exhaust does not fit but you can run it under the gearbox mounts but makes the exhaust very low
you will need a 8 bolt series 1 vs ecotec flywheel (series 1 are t5) and any clutch and flexiplate vn-vs s1 will work
Vs eco 3.8, extractors, 2.75" exhaust, roller rockers, cammed, bored out 20, t5 manual, rolling on king springs all way round with monroe gt shocks all way round, every door has a ding but looks can be very deceaving
