How much nos?

Hey just a quick question how much nos can a buick v6 handle i have been told by a bloke here that he tried his vn on a 75 shot and killed 3 motors in 2 months and he said to run 50 insted? Has anyone run nos on there v6 and if so what shot?

Any ideas on the condition of the motor before they chucked the gas on? I remember reading up on nos systems and how to choose the shot.

A 50hp wet shot is fairly reasonable. The problem with nitrous is that it increases the burn rate so you need to retard the timing to suit as well as using a slightly colder plug. Best way is to keep it the nitrous/fuel mix nice and rich as helps to keep the combustion process under control.

From memory NOS recommend to retard the timing 2 degrees for every 50hp nitrous used, this however is just a tad difficult unless you happen to be able to alter the tune yourself.

That is correct. Im typing up that story about the NOS from the mag.. Got a few more pages to go then ill put a link in here.
