Hello all, just a quick query. I'm transplanting a V6 into my Torana LX Hatch but it would be beneficial to know what the engine and transmission I have is out of model-wise...
I've had a quick look but I'm unsure where to find the engine number/s.
If it's any clue the rocker covers appear to be plastic coated (the other engine I have - but not using has powdercoated rocker covers).

I've got the conversion kit and I know it'll all fit in but I was after some info on identifying the engine if possible...

Only vn series 1 had the thermostat at the back. Vn series 2 onwards had thermostat housing at the front.Originally Posted by burnz
