I have a 1991 commo, and i was just wonderin if any1 could help me by tellin me about some performance gear that will make to car go harder. I dnt have alot of money as of yet, but i want to start gettin gear. Can any1 tell us of some cheap, but really good gear i can get? thanx, catch ya
start saving, its the best way, and shop around for what you want, set yourself goals, save and meet them, then set another one.
maybe start with a cold air intake, k&n panel filter or a pod if you're that way inclined.
extractors, exhaust, etc.
that should get you started.
thanx 4 the advice man. i really appciate it. Is there anythin eelse u can tell me about how to get the best out of me car?
hi
is it a 6 cyl ? i would say make your own cold air take as there to dear to bye shop ones that realy do nothing noticable a good exhaust system is a plus and a good cam package will make a big difference and wont make it to much of a mission to get.
can i do all of that stuff to my VL commy as well???
Make some more money!

check out 3800pro.com it you want to do up your engine
mate, i have a job. i have a better job than any1
you said you have a better job than anyone and you dont have alot of money??? and you drive a VN??? hahaha
hey, something you can do right now is take the bell mouth out of your inlet. its very easy to do. holden put it in cuz the first VN was making a bit to much power then they wanted it to have. its in the back of the inlet.Originally Posted by bundy bear

Don't do things cheaply because in the long run its probably going to cost you more.........
simple things like Air Intake, Exhaust will get you started....
What is your occupation?

Wat cold air intake should i buy? II just want some ideas, i just bought a 2 1/2" sports exhaust. And im currently after a CAI. Just want some ideas on wat brand and type i should buy. And also, if u can, some prices on them. thanx
Hey Bundy bear
i ordered a CAI from Your local holden dealer and it set me back 35 dollars
cheap as chips i thought.
But like others said save save save is you best bet.
And how much did your exhaust cost ya
Cheers
me exhust cost me about $250. It was well worth it tho
best two thing to do are KnN panel filter = 90 bucks
performance chip = 150 - 250
you will notice power gains out of these mods
unless your making your own chips i'd save that till the end. This is what I did:
Throttle Body Clean - this certainly helped
CAI with K&N
Full exhaust - extractors and twin cat exhaust
A few other little things
Chip
And now i want more...
Start saving is my tip - if you have a better job than anyone it shouldn't take too long
well, you could whore yourself out to 100 fat chicks for $100 a pop...or 10 really fat chicks for $1000 a pop.Originally Posted by bundy bear

I'm starting with the ACL Race rebuild...
It's like $800(rrp @ Repco)... Freshens the engine up, brings compression up to around 9.5:1 for the Vn/VP motor.
Then get it tuned.
Do the exhaust for around $800 (full system)
That's $2800 and will net some damn good gains!
it cost u $1200 to get it tuned, isnt that kinda expensive?Originally Posted by MBS206

hmm which part is the bellmouth? pic? mate has a vp s2 who is lookin for some extra power.
i have a VN series 1, and i put a bellmouth into mine.
no power loss that i've noticed, but it's smoother running now.
just leave the bellmouth in there, your engine could last longer in the long run
