start saving, its the best way, and shop around for what you want, set yourself goals, save and meet them, then set another one.

maybe start with a cold air intake, k&n panel filter or a pod if you're that way inclined.

    extractors, exhaust, etc.

    that should get you started.

    hi
is it a 6 cyl ? i would say make your own cold air take as there to dear to bye shop ones that realy do nothing noticable a good exhaust system is a plus and a good cam package will make a big difference and wont make it to much of a mission to get.

hey, something you can do right now is take the bell mouth out of your inlet. its very easy to do. holden put it in cuz the first VN was making a bit to much power then they wanted it to have. its in the back of the inlet.

Like others have said Save Save Save........

Don't do things cheaply because in the long run its probably going to cost you more.........

simple things like Air Intake, Exhaust will get you started....

unless your making your own chips i'd save that till the end. This is what I did:

Throttle Body Clean - this certainly helped
    CAI with K&N
Full exhaust - extractors and twin cat exhaust
    A few other little things
    Chip

    And now i want more...

Start saving is my tip - if you have a better job than anyone it shouldn't take too long

I'm starting with the ACL Race rebuild...
It's like $800(rrp @ Repco)... Freshens the engine up, brings compression up to around 9.5:1 for the Vn/VP motor.
    Then get it tuned.
Do the exhaust for around $800 (full system)

That's $2800 and will net some damn good gains!

i have a VN series 1, and i put a bellmouth into mine.
no power loss that i've noticed, but it's smoother running now.
just leave the bellmouth in there, your engine could last longer in the long run
