    Default L67 Spec ???

Ok can someone tell me the difference in spec between the VS L67 and the VT L67... somewhere along the line the VT has an extra 10-15 KW so what makes this difference ?

Could be wrong here Sixshooter, but i've been told its just a reprogramming of the ECU. same as the NA ecotec's 147kw (VS) compared to 153kw (VTon). you will also notice Holdens claimed power for the VT L67 (KW) is up but claimed Torque is identical to the VS , Oh by the way VS = 165KW / VT = 171kw Torque figures are the same.

    VS Specs:
    Maximum power: 165 kW @ 5200 rpm
    Maximum torque: 370 Nm @ 3200 rpm

    VT Specs:
Maximum power: 171 kW @ 5200 RPM (on PULP (Premium Unleaded))
Maximum torque: 375 Nm @ 3000 RPM (on PULP)

Also they had different Powertrain Control Modules and Engine Control Modules...So maybe its the combination of premium unleaded and newer PCM and ECM that provides the extra 6kw and 5NM of torque?

The VS still runs PULP, It may not be specified online but both the users manual and the fuller cap say PULP is recommended.

im trying to find the training manual i got when i went to GM school all those years ago, i seem to remember the KW and torque figures being the same 165 and 370 but the rpm for the torque moved from 3000 rpm to 36000rpm then to the 3200 when they released them. bit of a figure fudge to not make the 5 ltr look too bad

the XU6 has extractors standard, and a different CAI I think... I think thats the main difference, but there may be other differences to the exhaust or other bits... not sure really.
